Our center focuses on the work of Dr Dale Bredesen for reversing cognitive decline and improving brain health.  Though his protocol is quite detailed, it is broken down into action steps that can be easy to follow.

Our work with patients is probably quite different to what you might be accustomed to. We NEED for you to be an active participant in your health journey. This is definitely not a passive program.

All care plans will start with a complete health history and likely a diagnostic work-up. This can be quite detailed … yet this information is very valuable. It allows us to create the protocol that will support your needs the best.


We have a systematic approach to beginning your care, so that you will understand each step of the process.

It all starts with a phone call to gather information and determine what diagnostic tests need to be run.

After we receive the test results, we will schedule a detailed visit that can be done in YOUR home. With all the information being provided, we want to make sure you are in the most comfortable environment possible. It is at this visit that we will outline the treatment protocol that has been created just for you. We will also discuss the strategies involved to implement your new healing protocol.


This is where the real fun begins. During this phase of care, you will initially receive weekly phone calls or video chats from Dr Becky and/or Sarah to discuss your progress.

You will also be scheduled to participate in our group cooking classes so that you will understand basic meal prep and how to prepare the foods used to improve your brain health.

And, you will also be scheduled to participate in group fitness classes and learn stress management techniques.

(The fee for care covers these services. However, if you prefer 1-on-1 classes, we can accommodate this for an additional fee.)


At the beginning of care, a re-evaluation will be performed every 90 days to monitor the effectiveness of your healing plan.

Proper nutrition is important to the health of your brain, much like gasoline and oil is important to the function of your car.

We will work on identifying triggers and teach you how to avoid them. (For instance, gluten, grain and dairy sensitivities are very common and may need to be eliminated for a period of time.)

We will also work on eliminating toxins in your diet. These may include pesticides, herbicides, gmo’s, and artificial sweeteners.

Additionally, we will highlight the foods that are great for brain health and discuss strategies to add these foods to your diet on a regular basis.


The most relevant benefits of exercise for cognition include:

  • reduction of insulin resistance
  • increase in ketosis, which increases production of BDNF (a very important neuron-supporting molecule)
  • increase in the size of the hippocampus. This part of the brain shrinks with Alzheimer’s
  • improvement in vascular function, which is critical for neuronal and synaptic health
  • reduction in stress
  • improvement in sleep
  • increase in survival of new neurons created in the brain
  • improvement of mood

What is the optimal amount of exercise for cognition?
Studies show a mixture of aerobic exercise with weight training should occur 4 or 5 days per week for 45-60 minutes each day.

Unfortunately, most insurance companies do not cover these types of services, so we don’t bill directly to insurance companies. PPO plans might cover some of the testing costs, so we will provide you with a claim form to submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) will cover these expenses. We will happily verify that for you.
